The Birmingham Police Department arrested a 40-year-old Columbiana man and charged him with a prostitution-related charge during an April 19 vice operation.
Police charged Josh Palmer with one count of loitering for prostitution after officers executed a search warrant on the Bali Spa at 9533 Parkway East in Birmingham at about 11:30 a.m.
During the operation, investigators seized more than $10,600 and a video surveillance system, according to the Birmingham Police Department.
Along with Palmer, police also arrested 37-year-old Korean resident Soon Lim and 40-year-old Lakewood, Wa., resident Mi Young Knichel and charged them each with one count of loitering for prostitution.
Flushing, N.Y., resident Buy Park, 37, was arrested and charged with loitering for drugs and 46-year-old Los Angeles resident Soon Ae Corado was arrested and charged with opening house of prostitution and doing business without a license.
Lim, Knichel, Park and Corado are all natives of Korea, according to Birmingham police.
