The Pelham Library Guild will host a pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 11 to raise money for a scholarship for a graduating Pelham High School senior.

The breakfast will be held at the Applebee’s restaurant on Alabama 119 from 8-10 a.m. Tickets are $5 per person, and are available at the library, which is next to Pelham City Hall off U.S. 31.

All money raised during the event will benefit the Library Guild’s scholarship fund, according to Library Guild member and City Councilman Maurice Mercer.

Through the fund, the Library Guild awards a $2,500 scholarship to a graduating PHS senior and Pelham Library member who is planning to attend a four-year Alabama college or university.

For more information on the breakfast or other Library programs, call Library Director Barbara Roberts at 620-6419 or email Broberts@pelhamonline.com.
