ALABASTER—The annual Alabaster Fourth of July celebration, Celebrate America, begins at 7 p.m. on June 29 at Veterans Park in Alabaster.

The city and Kingwood Church are once again partnering for the event this year, said Benny Cunningham, Kingwood Christian School Education Pastor.

The city provides the location and security, and the church provides finances and volunteers, Cunningham said.

“A big thank you goes to the park and recreation department and the Alabaster police and fire department,” Cunningham said.

It’s an evening full of food, entertainment and family fun.

There will be a kid’s zone for the younger attendees equipped with inflatables, interactive video games and an outdoor game of laser tag.

There is an area dedicated to local vendors that will have many food, beverage and dessert options available for purchase.

Live bands will play from 7 – 8 p.m., when a movie will be screened.

The fireworks finale by Pyro Productions will immediately follow the movie at 9:45 p.m.

“It’s a really family friendly, large community event,” Cunningham said. “Come out and have a good time.”
