University of Montevallo rises in U.S. News & World Report rankings

MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo continues to rise in the rankings of “America’s Best Colleges” published annually by U.S. News and World Report, according to a University of Montevallo press release.

When the 2014 rankings were released Sept. 10, UM was ranked the No. 1 public master’s-level university in Alabama, a ranking it has kept since 2008. UM was also listed as the 15th best public university in the South in its division, the 36th best overall university in the South (up 23 spots from its ranking in 2007) and the 7th best university in the region for undergraduate teaching.
