Pelham volleyball falls to Oak Mountain

Pelham volleyball came up short against Oak Mountain Sept. 10 in a tightly-contested area match.

The Panthers dropped the match, 3-0. In set play, the Eagles won 33-31, 25-22 and 25-23, respectively.

Autumn Hiett had 15 kills, Erin Hines totalled 12 kills and Hayley Brisendine had 14 digs for Pelham.

Hannah Beach logged 14 kills, 17 assists and three blocks, Pearson Bell had 13 digs and Madison Pierce had nine kills and two aces for Oak Mountain.

With the loss, the Panthers fell to 1-1 in area play. The Panthers will play rival Thompson at home Sept. 12 at 6 p.m, while Oak Mountain, also 1-1 in the area, will host Spain Park on Sept. 12.
