Thompson volleyball wins again

The Thompson High School volleyball squad took down the Prattville Lions in four sets Oct. 1.

The Warriors came out of the gate slow, dropping the first set 22-25.

Thompson bounced back in the second set, taking a 29-25 win. The Warriors carried the momentum into the third set, dominating Prattville, 25-14. The squad finished off the Lions in the fourth set, capturing a 25-11 win in the set, and a 3-1 win for the match.

Kelsea Bivins had 29 kills, Taylin McCarver had five kills and four blocks and August Newberry had 18 digs and four aces.

Thompson moves to 15-7 overall and 4-0 in the area. The Warriors will return to action in the Dig in the Park Tournament hosted by Spain Park High School Oct. 5.
