Franklin Delnor Frye

Franklin Delnor Frye, age 78, of Calera, passed away on Oct. 11, 2013, in his home surrounded by his family. He was a truck driver from an early age and retired in 2004. He was a member of the Calera Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lona Mulling Frye; siblings, Ruby Frye Carter, Don Frye, Eula Mae Frye Rodgers, Williard Frye, Shirly Frye, Elmer Frye, Denny Frye, Virgil Frye and Bill Lee Frye and three siblings that died at birth. Survivors include his wife, Kathy; children, Don Frye of Columbus, Ohio, Sara Dickens of Calera, David Dickens (Flor) of Hoover, Johnathan Dickens (Chanel) and Dottie Fryeall of Pelham; grandchildren, Eriale Frye, Angela Frye, London Dickens and Paris Dickens; great-grandchildren, Savannah Kornagay and Aydon Frye; and countless nieces and nephews.

Services were held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Church in Calera on Monday.
