Donations sought for Indian Springs Village Children’s Fund

Published 10:28am Monday, November 11, 2013

INDIAN SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Indian Springs Village Children’s Fund, which supplies holiday gifts and clothing for less fortunate children in Oak Mountain schools, is now accepting donations through Dec. 18.

Since the early ’90s, Oak Mountain school counselors have provided the Children’s Fund with the names of children in need. Over the years, residents have provided gifts and clothing for hundreds of children throughout north Shelby County.

Because gifts must be purchased before the holiday break – approximately Dec. 18 — donations are needed as soon as possible.

To make a donation, make checks payable to the ISV Children’s Fund and mail to Indian Springs Village Town Hall, 2635 Cahaba Valley Road, Indian Springs Village, AL 35214. A receipt will be mailed to each donor for tax purposes.

This charity is well worth it. It’s purpose is to help a number of underprivileged kids at a Oak Mountain school have a decent Christmas holiday. Every dollar donated is spent on clothes and gifts. Please consider making a donation, you will help some kids stay warm this winter.
