Bentley to participate in state parks celebration in Pelham

PELHAM – Gov. Robert Bentley will be at Oak Mountain State Park on Friday, Nov. 22 to help launch the beginning of a year-long 75th anniversary celebration for Alabama State Parks.

Bentley will also discuss new efforts on the state level to promote Alabama parks to additional visitors over the next year. His remarks will take place during the inaugural “Baumhower’s ShrimpFest and Barbecue” – a series of events that will promote state parks, Alabama Gulf Seafood and more.

Friday’s event will begin at 3 p.m. at the beach area at Oak Mountain State Park in Shelby County.
