FROM STAFF REPORTS

CHELSEA — The 14th annual Chelsea Christmas Parade will kick off Dec. 21 at 10 a.m. from Chelsea Intermediate School off Shelby County 39.

Amateur floats are encouraged and a limited number of professional floats also can be purchased. For safety concerns, motorcycles and ATVs are prohibited. The parade route will end at Winn-Dixie in Chelsea Corners shopping center.

Parade placement will not be available until arrival at Chelsea Intermediate School. In an effort to reduce traffic congestion in the line-up area, all groups must meet at an alternate location and arrive at parade line-up as a single group.

The deadline to register for the parade is Dec. 13. Complete a registration form here.
