Dr. A. Wayne Crumpton, Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church Alabaster, was in ministry for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur Leonard and Martha Elizabeth Crumpton; wife of 25 years Carole Tyler Crumpton; and sons, Steven Wayne and Michael Scott.  Survivors are brothers, Ken Crumpton (Shirley) and Mike Crumpton; sons Jeff Crumpton (Ashley) and Clay Crumpton; grandchildren, Brittany (Crumpton) Osgood, Caroline, Lana and Matthew Crumpton; and great-grandchildren, Isabel and David Osgood.

Visitation was held at First Baptist Church Alabaster, Thursday, Jan. 16 from 5-8 p.m. with funeral service Jan. 17 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Alabaster “Bridge to the Future Fund” as a memoriam for Wayne Crumpton.
