Elsie Marie Smith, age 70, of Calera, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Rufus R. Smith; her parents, L. G. and Willie Estella Cox; and her brothers, Loyce Cox and Frank Cox.
Her survivors include her daughter, Sindy Partridge (Andy); son, Anthony Smith; sisters, Reba Chandler and Faye Snell; brothers, Ernie Cox (Kathy) and
Gary Cox; sisters-in-law, Jan Cox and Barbara Cox; grandchildren, Kyle and Kaylee Partridge; and her puppies, La Pooh and Peanut.
The family received friends on Jan. 26 from noon-2 p.m. at Charter Funeral
Home with a service following at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Charter Funeral Home directed.
