Herman “Ivan” Brashier, age 80, born Nov. 2, 1933, in Pelham, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

The 2 p.m. funeral was on March 14 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. Burial, Helena City Cemetery.

Ivan was a life-long mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He loved to hunt and fish.

Ivan was a member of Helena United Methodist Church. He retired from Trinity Industries, formerly Ingalls Iron Works, and then worked 10 years for the City of Helena, establishing the city garage.

Survivors include Ivan’s wife of 60 years, Robin England Brashier; a son, Michael Brashier (Kim); a daughter, Tyra Cutcher (Dee); grandchildren, Juston Cutcher (Jessica), Derek Cutcher, Andrew Brashier (Cara) and Rachel Brashier; a great-granddaughter, Holland Brashier; and two sisters, Marie Driggers (Bubbie) and Joyce Willis (Jerry).
