HOOVER — The Hoover Board of Education selected new officers for the next year at its May 12 regular meeting.

The board selected current vice president Donna Frazier as president. Also, board member Derrick Murphy was tapped as vice president. The board’s current president, Paulette Pearson, will end her five-year term in June and has opted not to run for re-election.
