June is Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month and Shelby Humane Society is celebrating all month long with fee-waived adoptions for all adult cats (6months and older) at the shelter. The ASPCA Rachel Ray $100k Challenge also started this month—we are trying to save more lives than ever before and vying for the grand prize of $100K to help us continue our life-saving programs.

We believe there are so many great reasons to choose an adult cat as your new furry companion. They are calmer and their personalities are developed so it is easier to make a match that will fit. Adult cats are full grown and able to make strong bonds with their new family. They can handle your long work days but are ready to bring you comfort when you do get home. And indoor cats often live 15+ years, so they have many years to be with you.

For more information about our charismatic cats, email mwayman@shelbyhumane.org or call 205-669-3916. Visit our website at www.shelbyhumane.org to see our shelter adoption hours and offsite adoption events. Be sure to follow us on Facebook as we progress through the $100K Challenge. Choose Shelby Humane Society and give life a chance.
