VINCENT—A two-vehicle crash on Shelby County 57 two miles north of Vincent at approximately 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 18 resulted in the fatality of a Vincent woman.

Holly Hutchison, 32, “succumbed to injuries received when the 2000 Ford Focus she was driving collided with a 2014 Dodge Ram,” according to a news release from Sergeant Steve Jarrett of the Alabama Department of Public Safety.

Hutchison was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. She was transported by helicopter to UAB where she died at approximately 3:38 p.m.

The driver and passenger of the Dodge Ram were transported to UAB by ground ambulance. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time, according to the release.

“Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate,” Jarrett said.
