Edwin Dawkins, age 68 of Shelby, AL, passed way on Sunday, Sept. 7. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10. at Bolton Funeral Home with Dr. Donnell Brown and Bro. Andrew Cummins officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Dawkins is preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ann (Jones) Dawkins parents, Alvie and Wilma Dawkins; brother, Charles Dawkins and sisters, Mae Harrell, Betty Genry and Carolyn Jones. He is survived by his sisters Doris Brown, Nell Nelson (Hilton), Faye Grizzell, Linda Phillips (Wayne); brothers Bruce Dawkins, Donald Dawkins (Landa) and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
