A strong  offensive showing in the second quarter was the difference in an otherwise defensive showcase, as the Oak Mountain Eagles took down Tuscaloosa County, 27-6, for homecoming on Sept. 19.

The Eagles went up 15-0 in the second quarter and never looked back, holding the Wildcats at bay in the second half.

Warren Shader led the Eagles in passing, going 2-for-6 for 99 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 190 yards on 16 attempts for two touchdowns. Daniel Salchert had 59 yards on the ground, while Evan Bennison had 80 yards receiving with a touchdown.

The Eagles now turn to face Briarwood at home on Sept. 26.
