Velma H. Findley, age 103, of Clanton, passed away Friday, Nov. 21.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clanton. She retired as a postal clerk at the Calera Post Office and was a member of the Eastern Star.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 24 at First Baptist Church of Clanton with Rev. Matthew DeBord officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 24 at First Baptist Church of Clanton. Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana, directing.
Mrs. Findley is preceded in death by her husband, B.A. Findley; and her son, James Alton Findley.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Miller (Billy); a son, Phillip Findley (Martha); daughter-in-law, Miriam Findley; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Paula Lawrence; and numerous other family and friends.
