Rosalie Holcombe Garrett, age 94, of Chelsea, went home to be with her Lord March 3.
Known by all as “Sis”, she will be remembered as a devoted Christian who was loving, giving and always thinking of others.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 6 at Union, The Church at Chelsea Park with Pastor Henry Prater and Brother Jimmy Aycock officiating. Burial will follow in Union UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Friday, March 6 at the church. Bolton Funeral Home of Columbiana is directing.
Mrs. Garrett is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Walter W. Garrett; parents, Charles and Lillie Holcombe; sisters, May Davis, Wilma Dulaney; son, Charlie Garrett and grandson, Eric Garrett.
She is survived by her sister, Harriett Griffin; daughter-in-law, Judy Garrett; grandson, Jerry Garrett; granddaughter, Tracy Sanders (Doug); great grandchildren, Jake Garrett, Madison Sanders, Nicole Garrett, and Kayleigh Garrett; and many beloved nieces and nephews, loving church family and numerous other family and friends.
