PELHAM-The Pelham Police Department has taken three suspects into custody in relation to an armed burglary in the early morning hours of March 14.

The Pelham Police Department responded to a possible burglary in the area of Holland Lakes Drive North at approximately 3:10 a.m. on Feb 14. According to a news release from the Pelham Police Department, the responding officers set up a perimeter on the Stonehaven Subdivision and began searching for suspects.

“The suspects were located and fled from officers in a silver Pontiac Grand Am, before fleeing on foot in the 200 block of Stone Circle,” the news release read. “One adult and one juvenile were taken into custody.”

The police apprehended two suspects, an adult and a juvenile, and were searching for a third suspect. All suspects were armed with handguns at the time of the incident, the Pelham Police Department confirmed.

The Pelham Police Department apprehended the third suspect before 10 a.m. on March 14. According to a post on the Pelham Police Department’s Facebook page, no further suspects are wanted in connection to the case at this time.

The number of vehicles burglarized is unknown at this time, but the case is under investigation and the police “will begin the process of attempting to notify victims of property recovered,” the release read.

“It is possible the suspects broke into vehicles throughout numerous neighborhoods extending into Hoover and Helena,” The release read. “We encourage everyone to check your vehicles and notify your police jurisdiction to report any thefts.”

The names of the suspects are being withheld pending further investigation and the filing of formal charges.
