June Anthony Hadaway, age 75, of Calera, went to be with her Lord Saturday, May 9.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 12 at Calera Baptist Church with Rev. Delmus Anthony, Dr. Jason Jarvis and Rev. Steven Cannon officiating.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 11 at Calera Baptist Church. Bolton Funeral Home of Columbiana is directing.
June was an active member of Calera Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Director and Director of Early Childhood Education for a number of years.  June also served as VBS Director of CBC for 31 years.
June is a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and taught in public schools in Alabama and North Carolina.
Mrs. Hadaway is preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Leroy Anthony.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Roy Hadaway; children, Mark Hadaway (Corinne), Stacie Lockhart, and Amy Baker (Tom); grandchildren, Blake Lockhart, Lindsay Lockhart, and Tom Baker, Jr.; sisters, Frances Anthony, Jerry Hicks (Don), and Charlotte Patrick; brothers, Rev. Delmus Anthony (Tommie) and R.L. Anthony (Gwen); sister-in-law, Martha Rose Anthony; and numerous other family and friends.
