COLUMBIANA – One person was injured in a three-vehicle wreck in Columbiana the morning of May 27.

The crash occurred at 8:36 a.m. on West College Street in front of State Farm, according to Lance Brown, dispatch supervisor with the Columbiana Police Department.

Brown said a vehicle collided with another vehicle stopped in the road to turn into the parking lot, and a third vehicle became involved.

An adult in one of the vehicles in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Shelby Baptist Hospital by Southeast Shelby Rescue.

One lane of West College Street was temporarily closed and traffic was diverted until about 9:15 a.m. May 27 as crews cleared debris from the road.
