MONTEVALLO–After recently opening their second location in downtown Columbiana, Sassy Sisters Boutique has opened their third location in downtown Montevallo.

The Montevallo location marks the third location for the women’s boutique store that offers ladies clothing, shoes and accessories as well as home décor and gifts.

Sassy Sisters first store is located in Helena and has been open for nearly two years.

The boutique is owned and operated by sisters Jo Ellen Ramsey and Kayren Owens who are both from Helena.

When asked why the decision was made to open a third location in Montevallo, Ramsey said it was really the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce who reached out to the sisters.

“Actually Montevallo sought us out,” said Ramsey. “The Montevallo Chamber of Commerce and Steve Gilbert reached out to us and they’ve been right there with us every step of the way. They’ve helped us find a location and they’ve encouraged the city to embrace us.”

Ramsey said there wouldn’t be any major differences between the three stores but one characteristic of the Montevallo location is that they will offer clothing to both older women as well as college students.

“We’re going to have things for the ladies, as well as the college students,” said Ramsey. “It’s not going to be things just for the college kids but we do hope that they come and shop with us. We have something for everyone.”

Ramsey said the sisters travel to Atlanta to the market in Atlanta to finds the gifts and apparel they sell at their stores.

The Sassy Sisters Boutique in Montevallo is located at 626 Main Street and currently the hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ramsey said that after Labor Day, the store would be open later in the evenings a few days a week.
