Briarwood falls to Tuscaloosa County

The Lady Lions fell to Tuscaloosa County on the road to bring their record to 5-4. Briarwood lost in four sets, 25-8, 24-26, 25-18, 25-10. Sophie Muir-Taylor had eight kills and eight blocks, Robbin Reese had two kills, nine digs and four blocks while Natalie Crumpler had four kills and five blocks to lead Briarwood.

 

Thompson beats Calera in three sets

The Lady Warriors notched their third win of the season against Calera in a three-set win, 25-13, 25-4, 25-19. Milea Ray led the team in kills with 15, Jenni Beth Cox had 21 assists and six digs, and Kailyn Lillie had nine aces to lead the way for Thompson, which moved to 3-8 with the win.

 

Chelsea wins two in tri-match

Chelsea got back to its winning ways on Thursday night with a pair of wins over Southside Gadsden and Alexandria. The Lady Hornets won in two sets over Southside Gadsden 25-18, 25-9 before staging a come-from behind victory over Alexandria 20-25, 25-23, 15-4. Lexie Riggins had 17 kills, six blocks and 15 digs on the night while Jordan Legg has 19 assists, 22 digs, eight kills and four aces to lead the way for the Lady Hornets.
