DOTHAN – Cornerstone Christian School dropped its fifth-straight game Friday, falling at Northside Methodist Academy, 34-6.

The Chargers’ only score of the game came in the fourth quarter, trailing 34-0, when Tyler McNamee hit JoJo Joiner for a 23-yard touchdown pass.

Northside Methodist took a 21-0 lead into halftime after Gabe White threw a 10-yard touchdown to Landon Pilcher and ran for two more. White connected with Pilcher again early in the third quarter and Nick McCloud capped the Knights’ scoring late in the third with a 3-yard touchdown run.

CCS turned the ball over four times in the game.

“We just have to keep working. We’ll go back to work on Monday,” CCS head coach Tim Smith said after the game.

Cornerstone will return home Friday, Oct. 2 to host Kingwood Christian School (0-5) at 7 p.m. while Northside will host Coosa Valley Academy.
