MONTEVALLO – University of Montevallo senior Terrell Lipkins led the Falcons with 22 points in a 93-72 win over visiting Carver College in their season opener on Nov. 13 at Trustmark Arena.

Lipkins finished 9-of-17 from the floor in the victory while also dishing out a game-high eight assists.

Senior Bryant Orange registered the second double-double of his career with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the season opening victory. Orange, who also dished out five assists, tied his career high with 12 rebounds.

Senior Tevin Worthy, a transfer from Southern Arkansas University, recorded a double-double in his first game with the Falcons after contributing 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Junior Talan Whitaker contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Junior Logan Kelley and senior Malik Fields, who grabbed 10 rebounds, chipped in nine points each.

Montevallo improved to 9-4 in season openers under head coach Danny Young.

The Falcons will return to action Wednesday, Nov. 18 with a non-conference contest against Tuskegee University at Trustmark Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
