FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Calera, Greater Shelby County, Montevallo and South Shelby chambers are co-hosting a Shelby County Business Outlook Conference on Friday, Feb. 12 at the Birmingham Marriott Hotel, 3590 Grandview Parkway.

The program is held in collaboration with the University of Montevallo’s Stephens School of Business.

Registration for the conference opens at 9:30 a.m. with a panel presentation beginning at 10 a.m. The panel features five business leaders, who represent health care, real estate, retail, banking and small businesses.

Those leaders will share their outlook on what 2016 will look like in their respective sectors.  Dr. Stephen Craft, dean of the Stephens School of Business, will moderate the panel presentation.

During lunch, Craft will provide an overview of Shelby County’s 2016 business outlook and share the results of the Business Outlook Survey, which the four chambers and the Stephens School of Business have been conducting.

The survey will feature feedback from business owners and top managers, who will share their thoughts on what Shelby County’s economy will look like in 2016.

The investment for the Shelby County Business Outlook Conference, which includes coffee and refreshments in the morning and lunch during Craft’s presentation, is $25 for chamber investors and $50 for future investors.

Reservations are required. Contact the Greater Shelby County Chamber at 663-4542 or visit Shelbychamber.org.
