HOOVER—St. Vincent’s Urgent Care is now open and seeing patients on the St. Vincent’s One Nineteen campus. Open after hours and seven days a week, the center provides convenient walk-in care.

St. Vincent’s Urgent Care offers walk-in care for minor injury and illness, ranging from minor cuts that may need stitches to coughs and cold—all at a lower overall cost than an emergency room visit.

With an after hours model, the facility is designed to fill the gaps when a patient’s doctor’s offices is closed.

The center provides on-site diagnostics, minimal wait times, advanced technology, a new state-of-the-art facility and experienced and compassionate staff. As part of St. Vincent’s the urgent care center offers patients access to the full range of expertise within the health system. The facility is accredited and certified by the Urgent Care Association of America.

“We are excited to announce the opening of our first St. Vincent’s urgent care location on the One Nineteen campus,” Senior Vice President, Ascension Health and Birmingham Ministry Market Executive Neeysa Biddle wrote in a news release. “As St. Vincent’s looks to create a truly clinically integrated system of care—not just in a hospital setting. We identified an after hours urgent care model as an area of need for our patients, and now, St. Vincent’s fills that need with a state-of-the-art urgent care center within the Shelby County community.”
