HELENA–Old Town Helena’s monthly tradition known as Helena First Friday rolls on and the July event plans to be the biggest event of the year.

Helena July First Friday is slated for Friday, July 1, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Old Town Helena district.

Multiple food and dessert trucks, organizations, clothing, musicians and other vendors will line the streets of Old Town Helena for family and friends to explore as other storefronts and restaurants will also stay open late.

A fun addition to the July First Friday event will be the fireworks show presented by the city of Helena and FarmerGuard Pest Control that will take place at dark to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

Dozens of vendors will be on hand at July First Friday that includes Knots of Love, Arcara Real Estate, Travel’in with the Mouse, Helena Health Club, Helena Library, Grade Power Learning, Beauty and the Beast, Bree’s Designs, Helena Pepper Co., Press Start, Helena Lions Club, All About Inflatables, Apex Roofing, JnS Treasured Creations, Forgotten Alabama Coffee Table Book, Gospel Light Baptist Church, Tiger Rock Martial Arts, Avadian, Creations…with Love, Ivory LeShore, Fetch, Main Street, Whispering Hollow, Southern Sass, Usborne Books, Publix, Helena Explorers, Damn Good, Ashley Traynham, AT&T, Helena Vision Care, Becca’s Chic Boutique, Deep South Boutique, Artsy People, A Little Dream Boutique, Zaxby’s of Helena, Americas First ATM, Helena Bass Club, Chloe + Isabelle, Young Living Essential Oils, Simply Infused of Mt. Laurel and Rodan + Fields.

Other new additions for July First Friday includes a live music performance by Helena’s Thomas Trussell beginning at 6 p.m. as well as a DJ performing at the gazebo in Old Town.

Families are encouraged to arrive in Old Town Helena early and stay late to view the fireworks show, grab some good food and enjoy all of the entertainment provided by vendors, food trucks and storefronts.

Helena First Friday is presented by the Helena Old Town Merchants, whose goal is to continuously grow the event more and more each month.
