Elvie L. Benson, age 90, of Shelby, passed away Monday, Dec. 26.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 29 at Shelby Garden of Rest with Matthew Benson officiating. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mrs. Benson is preceded in death by her husband, Arvel C. Benson; brother, Raymond T. Crowell; and sisters, Myra Nell Welsh and Nobie Jean Davidson.

She is survived by her daughters, Annie B. Horton (Junior) and Linda D. Patterson (David); grandchildren, Lisa A. Moore, Donna J. Reddish (Dabney), Matthew E. Benson (Jamie), and Blake E. Benson; great grandchildren, Jagger M. Benson and Adrianna Waldrop; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
