The Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi chose Sharon Poset as their 2017 Valentine Queen.  Sharon is the chapter’s newest member coming to Alpha as a transfer from Kentucky and currently resides in Alabaster.

She was chosen as much for her dedication to her chapter as for her kindness and selflessness to others – both of which uphold the high ideals of Beta Sigma Phi.

She is currently serving as chapter vice president. Her energy serves as an example to the entire chapter, through her volunteered participation on five of six chapter committees and status as chairperson the responsibility of all chapter fund-raisers.

In her community, she is active in her church, travels with the Alabaster senior’s group, serves on a UAB research animal committee which assesses the need and care required and is currently pursuing certification as a sexual abuse victim advocate.

The honors were presented to Sharon at a Valentine Luncheon at the quaint Olexa’s Café in Mountain Brook.
