Engagement: Heady and McKenzie

Erik Bond McKenzie and Megan Gay Heady.

Ms. G. Nicole Yost of Hoover and Mr. Lawrence Pilotti of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Gay Heady to Erik Bond McKenzie, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Bond McKenzie.
Miss Heady is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Heady of Abbeville and Ms. Grace Pilotti and the late Mr. Louis Victor Pilotti of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Miss Heady graduated from Hoover High School in 2006 and is locally employed.
Mr. McKenzie is the grandson of the late Mr. Tim Garner Sr. of Helena and Mrs. Sue Garner of Brent and Mr. Frank and Lori McKenzie of Vance and Ms. Jannis McKenzie of Bessemer. Mr. McKenzie graduated from Kingwood Christian School in 2005 and is currently enlisted as a damage control man in the United States Navy. He is stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.
The wedding is set for June 19, 2009.

Engagement: Welch and DeLong

Carrie Audra Welch and James F. DeLong, Jr. announce their engagement and forthcoming wedding.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Donna Alred of Woodstock, Georgia and Gary and Monta Welch of Cookeville, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of Captola Norrod Hendrixson and the late Wayne Hendrixson of Monterey, Tenn. as well as Talmadge Welch and the late Sallie Bilbrey Welch, also of Monterey Tenn.
She is a graduate of Cookeville High School, in Cookeville, Tenn. and Tennessee Tech University. She currently serves as the Preschool and Children's Music Coordinator at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover.
The groom-elect is the son of Jim and Linda DeLong of Hoover. He is the grandson of Grady Brown and Dorothy Scroggins Brown of Allardt, Tenn. and the late Pearl Francis "Frank" DeLong and Betty Catherine Esterline DeLong of Dayton, Ohio.
He is a graduate of Indian Springs School and Auburn University. He is an independent musician and songwriter and is also employed by Regions Bank.
The two will exchange vows on the first of November at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover. The couple plans to reside in Pelham.
