Martin, a 24-year-old Birmingham resident, called in the threat to ABC Polymer Industries at 3 a.m. on July 17. ABC Polymer, which was evacuated after the bomb threat, is located in the Helena Industrial Park. Martin was an employee of ABC Polymer at the time of the threat.

Carter said that after the threat was called in, the Helena Police Department launched an investigation that gathered enough evidence to get a warrant for Martin's arrest. Martin posted bond July 26.

ABC Polymer estimated it lost about $10,000 in productivity and labor while the business was shut down, Carter said.
