Spain Park claims third place at Sneaky Pete's Classic

Josh Drum and Mitchell Holt scored 11 points each as the Spain Park High School Jaguars defeated the rival Hoover Bucs 43-35 in the third-place game of the Sneaky Pete’s Jaguar Classic basketball tournament Dec. 23 at Spain Park High School.
Matthew Bowerman led the Jags (9-6) with 10 points as Spain Park fell 37-36 to Vestavia Hills in the semifinals Dec. 22. Jake Lee added eight points in the loss to the Rebels.
Bowerman led Spain Park with 19 points in the Jags' 57-51 win over Austin in the opening round of the tournament Dec. 21.
