Pelham man killed in single-car crash

A 20-year-old Pelham man was killed in a single-car crash Monday night in St. Clair County. Darrin Ledford Jr. died from injuries sustained in the accident, according to the Alabama State Troopers office.
Ledford and passenger Forrest Carter, 16, also of Pelham, were traveling in a 1998 Chevrolet pick-up on Woods Bend Road in Ragland when the accident occurred at 8:40 p.m. Carter, who sustained injuries, was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital.
The accident is still under investigation.
