Evangel Christian School running back Hunter Burridge rushed for 119 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries as he led the Lightning to a win over Hot Springs Christian School in the National Association of Christian Athletes Division II tournament Wednesday in Dayton, Tenn.

Evangel Christian tops Arkansas team at NACA tourney

The Evangel Christian School eight-man football team defeated Hot Springs Christian School of Hot Springs, Ark., 36-8 in the National Association of Christian Athletes Division I semifinals Wednesday in Dayton, Tenn.

Hunter Burridge rushed for 119 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries to lead the Lightning. Burridge also had two receptions for 20 yards in the win.

Jakan Sylestine completed 3-of-6 passes for 25 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 83 yards on 16 carries. Luke Miller rushed for 46 yards on eight carries. Auston Sullivan caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Sylestine.

Josh Flanders led the Evangel defense with eight tackles and a fumble recovery. Sullivan, Hayden Brown and Michael Entrekin each had interceptions in the victory.

The Lightning (9-1) advanced to the Division I championship game Friday, where they will face Asheville Christian Academy of Asheville, N.C., at noon.
