Montevallo Mayor Ben McCrory endorsed Alabama House of Representatives candidate April Weaver Oct. 13 during a fundraiser for the candidate.
Weaver, a Republican candidate who currently is the director of business development at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, is seeking to be elected to House seat 49 during the 2010 election.
The seat will be vacated by Cam Ward, who is seeking the State Senate seat now held by Hank Erwin. Erwin has announced his candidacy for Alabama Lieutenant Governor.
“I have known April Weaver for many years, and I know her to be a strong conservative voice for Shelby and Bibb counties,” McCrory said during the fundraiser. “She will serve the district well in Montgomery.”
