Oak Mountain High School students shop for toys for children in need before Christmas.

OMHS toy spree

The demands of semester exams were cast aside as members of the Oak Mountain High School National Honor Society leadership team visited Toys R Us in Hoover Dec. 13 to buy toys for local children. The first annual OMHS Toys for Tots campaign raised more than $3,000. The 11 members of the Oak Mountain High School NHS leadership team members include Kara Dabbs, A.C. Luckett, Carli Schilleci, Daniela Munoz, Elizabeth Mills, Kathleen Nolin, Jasmine Reese, Carli Schilleci, Ivy Taylor, Stephanie Trawick and Weston Upchurch. The advisor is Jackie Plaia.
