Debs presented at Poinsettia Ball

Ball Committee Members Ruby Cade, Deb Lindsay Westlake and Vicki Kirkpatrick committee member.
The Poinsettia Ball was held at Vestavia Country Club Dec. 29, 2009.
Decor for the event included greenery with twinkling lights adorning the arched doorways and cascades of lime green and Christmas red satin and lace ribbons lining the windows.
Two large Christmas trees accentuated each side of the presentation area and continued the theme of white lights with red and lime green decorative balls.
Debs Alex Thomason and Kathryn Davis (elected president of this year’s deb class) with Ball Chairman Sally Young and Young’s husband, past president of the Men’s Club, James Dorsey Young III.
The presentation area was lined with red poinsettias to complete the theme for the evening.
A total of 26 debutants were presented including numerous young women from Shelby County.
All proceeds from the event benefited the Alabama Ballet.
