MortgageSouth names Phillips as new president

HomeServices Lending is pleased to announce that Scott Phillips was named president of HomeServices Lending/ MortgageSouth effective Jan. 4.
Phillips replaces Bob Tarrant, who has been with the organization for six years.
Tarrant will retire this month.
Phillips has been a sales manager and Home Mortgage Consultant with MortgageSouth since 2007. He has consistently achieved high market share, service scores and production since joining the organization.
He has been responsible for the mortgage origination in the Gardendale office and is a member of that community.
“Scott has been a leader in this organization through his industry knowledge, lending expertise, business development and management acumen since the day he arrived. We are so pleased that he has chosen to take on this new role and look forward to building HomeServices Lending and its partnership with RealtySouth,” said Mark McGoldrick, Divisional Manager for HomeServices Lending.
