Locals on All-State Choir rosters

Laura Thomas (ninth grade), Caitlin Kendrick (10th) and Amber Bivins (11th) auditioned and were accepted in the Alabama All-State Choir. The students auditioned individually in front of a judge. They were selected to sing in the SSAA Choir. They will be attending the choral festival April 15-17 at Samford University. Read story
BSC announces fall dean’s list

Birmingham-Southern College recently announced the 2009 fall Dean’s List. Each student earned a 3.5 or better grade-point average while taking four full units of credit during the term. Read story

Spain Park High School has some of the best high-school mathematicians in the country, as demonstrated by their 16th-place finish in the 2010 Four-by-Four Competition, a national mathematics contest administered by National Assessment & Testing. Read story
