Shelby County Coroner Doug Ballard said Alabaster Police and the Alabaster Fire Department along with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene on Saturday night.

Ballard said witnesses said the stabbings occurred after an argument involving a pickup truck.

Police said a fight broke out over the ownership of a 1995 Chevrolet stepside truck.

&uot; The first man was DOS (dead on the scene) and another victim was seen running out to the woods,&uot; Ballard said.

Ballard said Aguirre was stabbed in the heart in the upper left chest and also stabbed in the upper left lip.

He said the non-fatal stabbing of Ril was once to the back.

Ballard said police were thankful for one of the vicitim’s sister-in-laws who provided information and also helped to intrepret because many of the witnesses and the victim spoke little English.

Ballard said the autospy was completed on Aguirre and Ril remains in intensive care at Shelby Baptist Medical Center with a tube in his chest.
