Congratulations and well done to those who worked so hard to bring the BASS Masters Classic back to Shelby County.

Events such as BASS Masters and the Bruno’s Memorial Classic, held each year in May, bring an economic boon to the county.

And it’s because of the hard work and dedication of county officials, businesspeople and residents alike that our county is allowed to benefit from these outside events.

Many more of these economically beneficial events are held at Oak Mountain State Park and the individual cities throughout the year as well.

It’s evident that Shelby County’s school funding and funding for roads, bridges and other infrastructure needs come from sales taxes.

So bringing visitors to our county through these events is extremely important &045; for our present and for our future.
