In this great country of ours, we are our own worst enemy.

Instead of concentrating on the fight against those outside our country who threaten our freedoms every day, we must remain focused on not getting shot as we enter a store or pump our own gas.

Remember the good ol’ days when children could walk from their cars to the school without worry of being shot to death.

Remember the good ol’ days when we felt safe in our small towns.

Those days are no more, it seems. At one time, our grandparents could stop on the side of the road to help someone change a tire.

These days, if you stop, you are in danger of being raped, stabbed, shot, kidnapped or killed.

What in the world is happening in our country?

Our goal, our focus, should be fighting those outside threats like Sadaam Hussein, Osama bin Ladin and numerous others.

Instead, we’re riveted each day, virtually held hostage, by a serial sniper whose death toll rises with every weekday that passes.

It’s a shame we have to use valuable American resources to fight our own people, too &045; people who wield their own brand of domestic terrorism.
