The Olive Branch Ministry will present a prophetic gathering with Joann Bailey of Anderson, S.C., on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. at The Christian Lighthouse Church in Saginaw.

Union Methodist Church, located on Highway 51 in Westover, will having a singing Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. Special singers will be Keymasters Quartet, the Union trio and Union choir.

Camp Branch United Methodist Church will hold its annual Arts & Crafts Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. There will be arts and crafts, holiday decorations, ceramics and a bake sale. Homemade soup and chili will be on sale throughout the day with takeout available. The church is located south of Alabaster on County Highway 26 East just off Highway 31 South. Liberty Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 133th church anniversary on Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Carlos D. Williams of 46th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham. Theme is &uot;Our Hope is in the Lord.&uot; Mistress of ceremony will be Sister Emphress Lewis of Mt. Elam Baptist Church in Helena.

Good Hope Methodist Church will have a yard sale on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be craft items, cookies, brownies and 2003 calendars. The church is located in the Kingdom Community on Highway 61 and Mooney Road.

FourMile Baptist Church will have Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Bring a favorite Thanksgiving dish. On Sunday, Nov. 24, the church will host a joint Thanksgiving service at 6 p.m. with some of the area churches. There will be singing, testimony sharing, preaching and prayer as well as fellowship. Bring your favorite finger foods.

The annual Usher’s Day Program at Coosa Valley Baptist Church in Vincent will be held Nov. 17 at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be pastor Richard Kidd of Macedonia Baptist Church in Columbiana. Mistress of Ceremony will be Sister Mae Kidd. Dinner will be served.

All choirs and singers are invited to a Gospel Music Workshop to be held at Coosa Valley Baptist Church in Vincent Nov. 6-9 at 6:30 p.m. nightly. The Grande Finale Concert will be held on Nov. 9. Guest clinician will be Bro. Eric Wilson and Company of Galilee Baptist Church in Fairfield. Registration is $10 per person.

The Melody Boys Plus 2 will sing at Mt. Era United Methodist Church on Sunday, Nov. 10.

The Alabaster chapter of Glow Lighthouse International will welcome evangelist Frances Fan Humbard of the well-known Humbard family to the Pelham Civic Center on Friday, Nov. 8. Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting will begin at 7 p.m. There is no charge.

Valleydale Baptist Church will host John Raymond from the TV series, &uot;Survivor&uot; on Sunday, Nov. 10. Raymond is executive pastor at Harvest Church, a church of 2,700 members in Slidell, La. He leads the pastoral counseling department, runs the adult education program and has developed a network of 50 small relationship groups.

Saints Alive!, the senior adults group at Columbiana United Methodist Church will host a covered dish luncheon on Nov. 19 at 11:30 a.m. with guest speaker Dr. Patricia Baker, assistant professor of sociology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is the project coordinator for the UAB Study of Aging and will discuss a broad range of health needs of interest to Alabama residents 55 and older. The next event is planned for Dec. 17 at 11:30 a.m. with speaker James Spann, chief meteorologist for ABC 33/40.

Union United Methodist Church in Westover will hold its annual UMW Breakfast, Bazaar and Bake Sale Saturday, Nov. 9 from 7 a.m. until noon. DivorceCare takes a Biblical approach to divorce, separation and related issues such as reconciliation, remarriage, forgiveness and the effects of divorce on children and families.
