&uot;I’m just happy for all three of them,&uot; said Thompson High School head football coach Ricky Seale following the signing of three of his senior football players Alonzo Barrett, Casey Pnazek and Brett Rushing to collegiate football scholarships.
All three signed their scholarships on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Thompson High School.
Big defensive end Barrett signed a scholarship to play that position for Colorado University of the Big 12 Conference.
Casey Pnazek, who played defensive tackle for the Warriors, signed a scholarship to play on the defensive line for VMI.
And quarterback/kicker Brett Rushing signed a scholarship to play as a kicker for the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks.
Seale said Barrett is originally from Colorado, was also offered scholarships Louisville, Troy
State and San Jose State among others.
Pnazek received scholarship offers from Liberty and Delta State.
Seale said Rushing had a lot of out of state
interest, but his decision came down between Jacksonville State and West Alabama because he would be able to play both baseball and football at those schools
