Police arrest wife for shooting

A Shelby County woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder last week after allegedly shooting her husband in their home.

On Wednesday, April 21, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a trailer home in the 100 block of Clear Springs Way in the Spring Creek community off County Highway 71.

Deputies found Michael Hunter, 41, inside the home with a single gunshot wound.

Hunter was transported by Lifesaver air to University of Alabama at Birmingham hospital, where he was treated and released.

Deputies took the wife, Sue Hunter, 53, into custody for questioning before officially charging her with attempted murder.

Sue Hunter was released on a $10,000 bond
