Voting places set in cities

Shelby County voters will go to the polls next Tuesday to choose their city officials.

Residents will vote on mayors and councilmembers from each city in the county.

Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

In most of the cities, polling places are different from state elections, however.

In Alabaster, all residents vote at the Shelby County Instructional Service Center on Highway 31 (the former Thompson Middle School).

All Calera voters will cast their ballots at Calera City Hall.

Chelsea voters will cast their ballots at the new city hall.

In Columbiana, all residents vote at the city’s Recreation Building.

Harpersville residents will vote at city hall.

All Helena residents will cast their ballots at the Helena United Methodist Church.

Montevallo residents will vote in their individual districts: District 1, University Baptist Church; District 2, City Hall; District 3, Orr Park Building; District 4, University Baptist Church; and District 5, Orr Park Building. Residents who are unsure of their district placement should call city hall at 665-2555.

All Pelham voters will cast their ballots at the Pelham Civic Complex.

Residents of Vincent will vote at City Hall.

All residents of Wilsonville will cast their ballots at the Wilsonville United Methodist Church.

Wilton residents will vote at the Municipal Annex at 474 Church Street
