The state of Alabama has announced that Shelby County will receive between 1,700 and 1,900 vaccinations. In October, the county vaccinated about 1,430 citizens during a vaccination program provided by the state.

The additional flu vaccinations will be administered from one location in the county on Nov. 16 and 17. Residents with last names beginning in A-K are scheduled for Nov. 16. Names beginning in L-Z are scheduled for Nov. 17.

The county has not decided where the flu clinic will be held yet
